Despite my best efforts, I am a notoriously messy packer. You’d think that after years spent traveling abroad, I’d be better at the task by now — but my cluttered suitcase usually says otherwise. Naturally, when I’d heard that Monos Travel was introducing a brand new product that’s literally designed to help make even the most scattered traveler more organized — by way of these Monos Compressible Packing Cubes ($81, originally $90) — I knew I had to give the travel accessories a try. Ahead, I break down everything to know about these trendy packing cubes — from their long-lasting composition to their functional design that’s so practical, it’s actually gotten me excited to start packing for my next trip. Plus, for a limited time, you can shop them on sale; just use the code JETSETTER at checkout to take 20 percent off.

What I Like About the Monos Compressible Packing Cubes

In my experience, the softer the packing cubes, the better. Oftentimes stiffer cubes can be a pain to try to squeeze into a suitcase, especially if you’re dealing with a hard-shell model that’s less flexible — which is precisely why I love these Monos packing cubes so much. The travel organizers are made from a tear-resistant nylon material that molds with whatever you’re packing, so you can squeeze a ton of clothing, shoes, and even accessories into each one. Despite their softer design, the travel cubes are still able to maintain their structure thanks to the product’s built-in compression zippers, which allow you to save space and compress the height of each cube by up to 60 percent. I also love that the cubes boast a mesh top window panel, which provides visibility to the product’s interior so that I can see precisely which items are packed in each one — making the process of unpacking my suitcase just as seamless as putting it all together.

What’s Worth Noting About the Monos Compressible Packing Cubes

Per Monos’s site, these cubes are designed with the specs of the brand’s own suitcases in mind — meaning that their recommended layout and ability to fit within a carry-on or checked suitcase might vary depending on if your luggage is from a different brand. I personally own a Delsey suitcase and had no problem fitting nearly all of the packing cubes into the model, but it’s something to keep in mind regardless.

Who Are These Monos Compressible Packing Cubes Best For?

Whether you’re an avid traveler or just someone who wants to simplify the hassle of packing for your next trip, these compressible cubes are great for everyone. They’re durable yet still squishy, so you’re able to fit plenty of items into each piece.

Additional Details:

  • The packing cubes are available to shop in five unique colorways, including gray (my shade of choice), black, pink, tan, purple, and yellow.
  • You can choose from two different bundle sizes; one comes with four compressible organizers, while the other one comes with six.
  • Unlike other packing cubes, these travel accessories are made from a tear-resistant nylon twill material that’s designed to last and more durable than traditional fabric styles.
