Watch Camila Cabello Perform ‘I Luv It’ on ‘Fallon’

Must read

Camila Cabello stopped by The Tonight Show to showcase her recent single “I Luv It” and to chat with host Jimmy Fallon about her forthcoming LP, C, XOXO. The singer took the stage in a blindfold along with a group of dancers and two Unitree robotic dogs, offering a dynamic performance that concluded with Fallon bowing to Cabello.

C, XOXO, Cabello’s first LP since 2022’s Familia, arrives June 28. It will feature appearances by Drake, City Girls, Lil Nas X, and Playboi Carti (Carti guests on “I Luv It, but wasn’t present for The Tonight Show performance). Cabello’s native Miami is a recurring theme on the 14-track C, XOXO with songs like “305TILIDIE” (a nod to the city’s area code) and “Dade County Dreaming,” which also features City Girls’ JT and Yung Miami to amplify its Florida-ness.

The singer spoke with Fallon about making the album, as well as her iconic ice purse at the Met Gala, which she said broke on her way into the event (and did not cost $25,000, as rumored on TikTok). She also recounted a hilarious tale about being stuck in an elevator with Lil Nas X.

“I felt like it really encompassed the spirit of the album,” Cabello told Fallon of the album’s title. “It’s an album and it’s a chapter of my life that feels personal to me and authentic to me and signed by me. It’s kind of like you’re writing a letter to someone. It’s like, ‘This is me. Like it or not, whatever.’”

Cabello also joined Fallon for a new game called “Dance Charades,” which involved guessing songs while dancing out the clues.

Cabello previously teased her new album to Rolling Stone, saying, “This is the best project I’ve ever made, and I have never been so proud of a body of work. It’s just such a world. My favorite albums are when I really get to live in a lyric or live in an aesthetic of an album. She is really a complicated, exciting girl, C,XOXO. She really is.”
