I’m a proud member of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee, and while it has its perks (what’s a bra?), my boobs could be perkier. I’ve contemplated breast augmentation with a lift in the past, but after the doctor explained the potential scarring, I decided against it. Some people’s scars fade beautifully, but as a woman of color, my scars stick around for a while; I’m still rocking the one on my knee from a rollerblading accident at 11 years old. Besides, it’s not actually their size that I mind; it’s where they sit. I just want my boobs up to my chin — is that too much to ask?
When I heard about the DMK Enzyme natural boob lift, I was intrigued. I reached out to Monique Aquino at Mobetta Beauty, who offers the service in Los Angeles. After getting the details on how it works, how long the results last, and the process, I decided to try it myself.

What Is a DMK Enzyme Treatment?
I had never heard of DMK Enzyme Therapy, but it’s been around since the 1970s, when Danné Montague-King (DMK) pioneered it. So, what is it? It’s a type of skin treatment that uses reverse osmosis to remove impurities from the skin, which results in a tightening effect. Reverse osmosis is a “back-flushing” action that forces fluids through the membrane around the cells, cleaning out dead skin, debris, and buildup, leaving the skin looking and feeling tighter. “It also works on the skin’s blood vessels, lymphatic system, and facial muscles to heal the skin. The treatment itself promotes collagen production and improves elastin,” says Aquino.
It’s more commonly known for facial treatments, but practitioners like Aquino offer it for areas like the bum, thighs, stomach, and breasts, too. “I was inspired to explore DMK’s body treatments after seeing the stunning results that happen on the face and how it’s able to treat a wide array of skin conditions and concerns all in one treatment,” Aquino says. A snatched body to match your snatched face? Yes, please.
What to Expect During a DMK Enzyme Boob Lift
I showed up with clean skin and slight nerves. If you’re shy about being topless, rest assured that Aquino creates a comfortable, professional, and kind environment; I immediately felt at ease with her. After changing into a strapless terry cloth dress, I relaxed under an infrared light on a heated table. Aquino then used DMK’s Hydra Louffa (professional only) and Micro Peel (professional only) to prep and exfoliate my skin — she surprised me by doing the treatment on my stomach, too! After exfoliating, she used a painting technique to apply the Enzyme Treatment. While we waited for it to harden, she gave me a sweet little scalp massage and we yapped about our moon signs.
The Enzyme Treatment took 20-30 minutes to dry completely, forming a crinkly cast, otherwise referred to as the signature plasmatic effect (a visible representation of one’s capillary network unique to DMK Enzyme Therapy). As it hardened, I could feel my skin heating up, and there was a pulsing sensation, which I learned was due to the enzymes working their magic. Once it was dry, Aquino wiped everything off and massaged DMK’s Herbal Pigment Oil (professional only) and Maximum Moisture (professional only) into my skin. The entire treatment took about an hour.
It’s a gentle and noninvasive process, and you can go about your day right after your appointment — which is precisely what I did. I attended two press events afterward, wearing my lowest-cut shirt for obvious reasons.
Aftercare For a DMK Enzyme Boob Lift
To maintain results, Aquino recommends applying DMK Revitosin (professional only), a vitamin A (retinol) formula, every other night, and using Hydra Louffa for cleansing, followed by the Maximum Moisture and Herbal Pigment Oil to keep the skin moisturized. “I would look at it like going to the gym or how you treat your monthly facials,” says Aquino. While many opt to receive the treatment once a month, results are noticeable after one session but sustained and more prominent with continued treatments.

Final Thoughts on My DMK Enzyme Natural Boob Lift
If you’re looking to go up cup sizes, this isn’t gonna do it — it’s not a substitute for a breast augmentation. But if you want to add a little plumpness and TLC to your tatas, this is it. After the treatment, my skin was taut and radiant, and my boobs were visibly fuller. My stomach also looked more defined, and any previous bloating was gone. Overall, I am pleased with the results and perhaps even enjoyed how my body felt more than how it looked. I’m eager to try the DMK Enzyme lift on other body parts now. “We have skin all over our body, not just the face, so everything from our breasts to our buttocks to stomach all need extra love,” explains Aquino, who recommends treatments before events like weddings or vacations. “I would treat it like a facial for the breasts and most other body parts.”
The treatment has other benefits besides lifting, like spurring collagen production and reducing pigmentation, scarring, acne, and rosacea. “Some [clients] say it improves breast tenderness and achiness associated with PMS,” says Aquino. Like most holistic alternatives, consistency is critical to obtaining maximum results; I plan to regularly continue with this treatment.
And while my boobs aren’t up to my chin, they’re on their way.
