In fact, Selena Gomez’s collaboration with the brand proves she too relies on Our Place for kitchen essentials.
Although we love the brand’s cookware, Our Place also has a collection of stoneware dinnerware that I had to try out. The lineup of plates and bowls have a durable and stylish build and they come in a range of sizes for all your dining and hosting needs. I tested out Our Place’s Classic Stacking Set ($250, originally $355) to see if it’s worth the hype and, spoiler alert, it’s already replaced my old dinnerware. These plates and bowls come in the prettiest shades for fall, including limited edition sage and terracotta. But even more importantly, they’re designed to function seamlessly within your kitchen. Each piece is made with restaurant-grade stoneware — I could instantly gauge the durability and quality of the pieces just by picking them up. The craftsmanship speaks for itself; I love the satin finish exterior, which complements a contemporary vibe, and the hand-painted rim that adds a rustic touch. While the glossy interior looks beautiful, it also provides the slip I need to clean off food without aggressively scrubbing.
These plates and bowls also feature a lip that helps keep food inside the dinnerware. Although I’d like to think I eat gracefully, and not at the same etiquette level as a toddler, the lip surrounding the perimeter of the plates and bowls assists me in scooping up pasta, rice, yogurt, salads, or anything spill-able. I never realized how that small design function saves me from creating a small mess.
Because of the lip construction, everything is stackable, which is much-needed, especially in apartment cabinets. The stacking design also lends itself to storing leftovers in the refrigerator, too. I can just stack a plate on top of a bowl and create my own food storage system, rather than shoveling scraps into a Tupperware.

Our Place’s stylish dinnerware collection elevates the way I eat and host, and it’s easy to maintain and clean. However, these plates and bowls are a bit heavier than some of my other dining pieces. It’s not the biggest issue, but if you prefer dinnerware that’s lightweight, it’s a factor to consider.
Although it is microwave- and oven-safe, the brand notes that it’s best to use oven mitts when handling the ceramic dinnerware since it can get hot. Tip: Warm up clean plates and bowls in the oven at a low temperature before serving so your food remains hot for a longer period of time. Got leftovers? You can store the ceramics in the fridge or freezer, but wait until the plates and bowls reach room temperature to avoid extreme temperature changes that can induce cracking.
