Serena Williams: Tennis champion, certified nail technician (yes, really), and now beauty-brand founder. On April 3, Williams announced the launch of her new makeup line, Wyn Beauty, revealing an entire collection of products for eyes, lips, and face. Among a bevy of lip colors, eyeliners, and mascara, the lineup also includes the Hydrating Skin Enhancing Tint SPF 30 ($29) and the MVP: Most Versatile Pigment Multifunction Lip & Cheek Color ($21) — two of Wyn Beauty’s hero products.
The product that caught my attention immediately was the skin tint. From the chartreuse packaging to the impressive 36 shades that the line offers and the radiant finish that it promises, I knew I had to get my hands on it ASAP. Keep reading for my thoughts on the latest offerings from Serena Williams’s makeup line.

What I Like About the Wyn Beauty Hydrating Skin Enhancing Tint SPF 30
While packaging does matter to me, it’s not typically the first thing that draws me to a beauty product. However, with this skin tint, not only is the color extremely eye-catching, but the packaging is smooth plastic, meaning I can just throw it into my purse and apply it in a car if needed, without worrying about it breaking.
As for the formula itself, I found it to be lightweight and offer a gorgeous glow. Since this is a skin tint, the shade ranges are a bit more flexible. Two shades could work for me: 315 Curiosity and 340 Flow. I opted for the lighter shade as most days I just throw on a bit of bronzer to bring warmth back to the skin, but I also found that this product oxidized and ended up being my perfect match. So, if you’re also in between shades, my tip is to go for the lighter one.
How to Use the Wyn Beauty Hydrating Skin Enhancing Tint SPF 30
Like my other complexion products, I applied this tint to my face using a brush, blending it using short, swiping motions. Though I prefer this method, the formula is light enough to use your fingers or a beauty sponge without it feeling too heavy on your hands. I used about four pumps to cover my entire face, but if you just want a hint of glow, about half that amount should work.
What to Consider About the the Wyn Beauty Hydrating Skin Enhancing Tint SPF 30
At this point, celebrity beauty brands need to be perfect right out of the gate, and honestly, Serena Williams and her team did a fantastic job with this tint. Like the brand says, it has light coverage, leaning more sheer. Even with a second layer, my blemishes were visible through the makeup. While not a deal-breaker for me, if you have acne or any other spots that you want to cover up, you’ll likely need to rely more on your concealer.
As of right now, this is the only base product in the line, so if you’re looking for full coverage, this product may not be for you. However, if you want an easy, wearable tint, you can’t go wrong.
Where Is the Wyn Beauty Hydrating Skin Enhancing Tint SPF 30 Available?
The full Wyn Beauty line will be available in stores and online at Ulta Beauty on April 7.
